The INP is collaborating with partners to develop a modular research facility for conducting research projects on load-flexible production of low-emission hydrogen. The project aims to develop and implement an innovative approach to the decentralized use of fluctuating renewable energy sources.

0605 Project Engineer (F/M/D) Facility technology for the production of low-emission hydrogen

Fixed-term contract for 24 months/ Weekly working time 40 hours / Remuneration according to TV-L

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Practical implementation and construction of the test facility using the institute’s own infrastructure as well as external support;
  • Construction supervision (on-site contact person) and project management: coordination of internal and external partners, schedule/cost/quality control, support with billing (quantity surveys), compliance with construction site safety regulations, participation in inspections;
  • Participation in the planning, design, and practical implementation of a test facility/prototype plant for plasma-assisted methane decomposition;
  • Selection of suitable components and materials;
  • Planning and tendering for the necessary infrastructure
  • Participation in the preparation of operating, maintenance, and safety documentation.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • A successfully completed degree or technical diploma in facility engineering, supply engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, marine engineering, energy engineering or a comparable field
  • A dedicated and self-motivated work ethic
  • Solid technical understanding of facility and process engineering
  • Experience in the planning and implementation of technical systems, including construction supervision (desirable: knowledge of HOAI/VOB) is an advantage
  • Proficiency with CAx/CAD tools
  • Strong technical understanding, creativity, and analytical thinking
  • Experience with gas and safety technology is an advantage
  • Goal-oriented understanding of design
  • English is an advantage
  • Enjoyment of teamwork
  • Good communication skills are required
