Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to join our team at a Special Lightweight Structures Engineering Company. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's success by developing and implementing effective HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with the company's goals and support its specialized engineering workforce.
Your tasks:
- Strategic HR Planning: Collaborate with and report to the Chief Operations Officer in order to develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives and contribute to the growth and success of the organisation.
- Talent Acquisition and Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job profiling to onboarding, ensuring the acquisition of top-tier engineering talent. Develop innovative recruitment strategies to attract specialised professionals in the lightweight structures and engineering field.
- Performance Management: Implement performance management processes that promote excellence and align with the company's engineering-focused culture. Provide guidance on goal-setting, performance reviews, and professional development plans.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting effective communication across all levels of the organisation.
- Compensation and Benefits: Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programmes tailored to the unique needs of engineers in the lightweight structures domain.
- Training and Development: Identify skill gaps and training needs within the engineering workforce. Collaborate with technical experts to design and deliver specialised training programmes to enhance employees' technical skills and knowledge.
- HR Policies and Compliance: Ensure company policies and procedures are up-to-date, legally compliant, and aligned with industry standards. Stay informed about labor laws and regulations that impact the engineering field.
Employee Engagement: Develop initiatives that enhance employee engagement and job satisfaction, such as team-building activities, recognition programmes and wellness initiatives.
Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace, encouraging a culture of respect and collaboration among employees from different backgrounds and experiences.
Succession Planning: Work with the Chief Operations Officer to identify potential future leaders within the engineering teams and develop succession plans to ensure a seamless transition of leadership roles.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilise HR analytics to gather insights into employee performance, turnover, and engagement. Use data to make informed decisions and continuous improvements in HR practices.
- HR Administration: Oversee administrative tasks related to HR, such as payroll coordination, record-keeping and HRIS management.
