We are a young and dynamic technical university in the heart of Lusatia, developing practical, science-based solutions to address major future challenges and global transformation processes.
The Microelectronics Department at Brandenburg University of Technology conducts research and lectures in the fields of analog and mixed analog-digital integrated circuits.
In the hybrid integrator research project, the limitation of the dynamic range of the analog integrator is eliminated by parallel digital integration. This is used, for example, in analog computers, delta-sigma modulators, and zoom ADCs. The analog circuit for limiting overflow and digital control generates additional sources of error that must be carefully compensated and calibrated.
The following position is available in the field of microelectronics at Faculty 1 MINT (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Information Technology) as part of a third-party funded project:
in the research project Hybrid Integrators
· Analog IC design and layout of a test chip on 65nm CMOS
· Use of tools in Cadence Virtuoso
· Mixed-signal test chip with application circuits such as a continuous-time delta-sigma modulator and basic elements of analog computing circuits
· Control of the test chip with an FPGA
· Evaluation of the test chip in the laboratory
