Group Design Leader – Exterior Systems (Body, Closures, Lighting, Bumpers & Mirrors)

• Lead design and development of exterior components, including: Bumpers & body panels, Closures systems (doors, tailgate, hood), Exterior lighting systems, Mirrors & exterior trim components
• Drive full development lifecycle through VPDS/DVP, from early concept through SOP.
• Align product feasibility considering design, supplier capability, testing, cost and industrialization.
• Act as the primary interface between engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, suppliers and quality teams.
• Prepare and facilitate Design Reviews, assuring maturity tracking and deviation handling.
• Manage supplier coordination, TR/DPR compliance and documentation governance.
• Support testing, homologation, validation and release process for exterior components.
• Foster cross-functional communication and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Proven background as GDL, D&R Engineer or Project Engineer in Automotive Exterior development
• Proven background as GDL, D&R Engineer or Project Engineer in Automotive Exterior development.
• Solid knowledge of exterior regulations, validation and homologation requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Catia V5 (plastics/sheet metal) and Teamcenter/PDM systems.
• Familiarity with OEM environments, article management and KDP/VPDS tracking.
• Experience working with Full Service Supplier or Build-to-Print
• Strong coordination skills with a structured and proactive work style.
• Fluent in English; additional Swedish knowledge is a plus.
• Gothenburg location and candidates must hold valid work authorization in Sweden.
