The ZIMMERMANN PV-Steel Group has been developing, planning and supplying solar substructures for projects worldwide since 2009. Our portfolio includes fixed mounting systems, single-axis tracking tracker systems, floating systems and systems for agri-PV applications. The company headquarters are located in Oberessendorf, directly on the B30 motorway between Biberach and Ravensburg. We have also had several sales offices and sales partners around the world for several years.
Your tasks:
- Software implementation in Python
- Participation in the further and new development of our existing tracker control system in conjunction with product management
- Development of new AI-based tracker control solutions
- Creation of software requirements for external service providers/suppliers
- Testing of software components from internal and external sources
- Further development of internal software components
- Conception, realisation, and programming of after sales products
- Remote support for the service team during commissioning
- Standardisation and development of software specifications for the implementation of commissioning in coordination with the service team
- Remote support of the after sales team for already operational systems

What we expect from you:
- Successfully completed studies in engineering or computer science or completed vocational training with further training as a technician
- Independent work in coordination with colleagues and product management
- Advanced knowledge in Python or related programming languages
- Knowledge of web-based languages (Javascript, Typescript) ideal
- Basic knowledge of embedded hardware desirable
- Knowledge of databases and database structures
- Analytical and structured way of working
- Team and communication skills
- Written and spoken German and English
