Postdoctoral position (m/f/d): Paired Electrons and Topology

YOUR TASKS

  • Discover and understand high temperature superconductors
  • Operation and maintenance of molecular beam epitaxy equipment
  • Characterization of physical properties by other experimental techniques in the institute
  • Analysis and summarizing experimental results
  • Presentation of experimental discoveries in scientific journals and international conferences
  • Working in collaboration with PhD students and research technicians

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed university degree and PhD in the field of physics or chemistry
  • Ability to work in the team and at the interdisciplinary level
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Background knowledge in quantum condensed matter physics, with an emphasis on superconductivity
  • Hands-on experience in thin film deposition, molecular beam epitaxy in particular, is preferred
  • Experience in characterizing physical properties of thin films is preferred
