The Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften - ISAS - e. V. develops efficient analytical methods for health research. Scientist / Postdoc (m/f/d)

You will be responsible for:

  • Development and implementation of a knowledge graph focused on microbiome research
  • Project management and coordination of related research activities
  • Bioinformatic analysis of microbiome and clinical data
  • AI-based mining and interpretation of omics data
  • Support and maintenance of software and hardware infrastructure

Your profile:

  • PhD or master’s degree with 3 years of experience in bioinformatics or a related field
  • Programming experience in Java, Neo4j, and Angular
  • Experience with database technologies
  • Knowledge in the field of omics technologies and microbiome research

The full-time position is available starting January 1, 2026. It is fixed-termed and offered for three years until the end of the project on December 31, 2028. The salary will be according to the German TV-L. The time limitation of the contract is based on the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG).
