The Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften - ISAS - e. V. develops efficient analytical methods for health research. Thus, it contributes to the improvement of the prevention, early diagnosis, and therapy of diseases like cardiovascular diseases or cancer. At our location in Dortmund, we invite applications for the Multidimensional Omics Data Analysis Research Group:

Scientist / Postdoc (m/f/d)

You will be responsible for:

  • Development and implementation of a knowledge graph focused on microbiome research
  • Project management and coordination of related research activities
  • Bioinformatic analysis of microbiome and clinical data
  • AI-based mining and interpretation of omics data
  • Support and maintenance of software and hardware infrastructure

Your profile:

  • PhD or master’s degree with 3 years of experience in bioinformatics or a related field
  • Programming experience in Java, Neo4j, and Angular
  • Experience with database technologies
  • Knowledge in the field of omics technologies and microbiome research

The full-time position is available starting January 1, 2026. It is fixed-termed and offered for three years until the end of the project on December 31, 2028. The salary will be according to the German TV-L. The time limitation of the contract is based on the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG).
